Our Optimal Strategy
Since everyone's domain portfolio is different, there is no
single optimal strategy for converting your domain traffic to Pay-Per-Click
Income. However, based on our very diversified portfolio of thousands of
domains, we suggest the follow Optimal Strategy. This strategy will be
updated periodically to reflect our ongoing efforts to determine which domains
earn the most where. There are new PPC services being created and we are
evaluating some of these right now. We will only consider new PPC services
for inclusion in our strategy after we have had sufficient time (at least 2
months) to give them an adequate evaluation.
Step 1
Do you have enough traffic to qualify for an account at DomainSponsor
(100 domains or 1,000 unique impressions per day)? If not, go to Step A1.
Step 2
Create an account for yourself at DomainSponsor.
Put all of your domains there, except for the following:
Step 3 - Gambling and Casino Traffic
This converts best at Fabulous.
Step 4 - "Foreign" (Not from US or Canada) Words
Foreign traffic, especially UK, Germany, France, and other
countries, converts best at Sedo.
Step 5 - SmartName
Note: Until the situation with SmartName becomes more
clear since the February 2007 purchase of SN by NameMedia, you probably want to
hold off on applying for SmartName. Apply for a SmartName account. This can take time, and
they are quite selective. If you get an account at SmartName, take your
highest earning domains from DomainSponsor, and test them one at a time at
SmartName. Many top domains will earn 2 or 3 or more times at SN what they
earn anywhere else (not including the gambling, casino and foreign traffic, as
in Steps 3 and 4.
Step 6 - Review
After 2 months, review all of your domains. Any domains
that are not doing well at one PPC service should be tried at Sedo or Parking
Dots.
Step 7 - Ongoing
Review your portfolio every 2 months. Domains that are
doing poorly at one PPC service should be tried at a different service. We
recommend that you keep a spreadsheet or database of your results for all of
your domains. You need to stay at Step 6, periodically reviewing your
domains. The following step is ONLY for owners of smaller portfolios.
Step A1 - For Smaller Portfolios
Create accounts for yourself at GoldKey and at Sedo. Place most of your domains at GoldKey initially. Proceed to Step 6.
